1. Children Must ALWAYS be accompanied by an ADULT when swimming

Teach you children about water and water safety. Reinforce the message that children are not allowed to go into pools, spas, rivers, ponds or the beach without adult supervision. 

2. Educate your child about water.

Children only see water, they do not understand depth and danger. It is our responsibility as parents and guardians to educate our children about the water that they are going to play in. Show them the deep ends and shallow ends, where is safe and where isn't safe.

Get in water yourself and show them the correct way to enter and to come out. Point out drains and drain covers and tell them these are no touch zones.

3. Show them the way

Children live what they learn, so show them the correct water safety behaviour. Have fun, but avoid rough play which will open the space for accidents. No running on pool decks, walk.
